America In 5 is a project that bridges art, documentary, journalism and new media. Inspired by the Federal Writers Project of the 1930s, when writers, journalists, artists and thinkers were hired to document their country at a time of change, America In 5 is an exploration of America’s untold stories using the media tools of a new generation.

Over the course of a year, teams of media makers will travel the country producing at least one story a week in any online medium. Each day, one story that is consumable in five minutes or less will be featured on www.AmericaIn5.org and delivered to subscribers' mobile devices, feed readers, and inboxes.
